Robert Buckland MP has launched a competition asking residents in South Swindon to send him their Swindon Christmas photographs.

The competition has an under 16 category and an over 16 category, with everyone in South Swindon invited to send Robert their Swindon Christmas images.

Every photograph Robert receives will be proudly showcased in a gallery on his website. The winners and runners up in both categories will also receive a certificate awarded to them by the MP.

Robert explained: “This has been an extremely difficult year for us all and over the festive period, we will see many of the usual events here in Swindon cancelled.

“COVID has changed the way we live our lives and cancelled many of our celebrations, however, all is not lost. As we begin to see people immunised against this illness, we will slowly see our lives return to normal.

“Many of us have found sanctuary in nature during this difficult time and here in Swindon, we have many wonderful local parks on our doorsteps such as Lydiard Park, Coate Water, Lawns Woods and Shaftesbury Lake, as well as many more.”

“I am calling for adults and children to capture their own images of Swindon and send them to me. These will be showcased in a gallery on my website to celebrate Christmas here in Swindon.

“I look forward to receiving all of your Swindon Christmas photographs.”

South Swindon residents are invited to send one photograph per person to Robert by emailing [email protected] or posting these to 29b Wood St, Old Town, Swindon, SN1 4A

Entries must be received by 31st December 2020.
