South Swindon MP Robert Buckland, has welcomed the news that UK manufacturing output is expanding at its fastest rate since early 2008
Figures from the Office for National Statistics have revealed that Britain's factories enjoyed healthy growth in November as the sector notched up its seventh consecutive month of expansion.
Manufacturers' expectations for the year ahead point to output and export growth being maintained through this year.
Robert Buckland MP commented; “The manufacturing sector plays an important role here in Swindon and has helped the local economy to grow.
“The Conservative government is committed to delivering on its industrial strategy, which will help to propel the manufacturing sector further forward.
“The Industrial Strategy will create conditions where successful businesses can emerge and grow, and back them to invest in the long-term future of our country.”
