My Local Charity of The Week is Swindon Carers Centre. This wonderful charitable organisation provides a wide range of support and services to the 21,000 unpaid carers here in Swindon.
Swindon Carers Centre works in partnership with other organisations including local NHS Services, Swindon Borough Council’s Adult Social Care and Children’s Services, and other local voluntary organisations, with the aim of identifying as many carers as possible and providing the relevant support for every individual caring situation.
This local charity works tirelessly to raise the profile of carers so that they can have a collective voice in influencing policy makers and service planners.
