The Terms of Reference for Robert Buckland's Independent Review into the Murder of David Amess have been published. Robert has already assembled a small team to assist him in his work, which is ongoing. The Terms of Reference not only cover an examination into the perpetrator's life prior to the appalling murder of Sir David in October 2021, but involve a wider look at the security of MPs when they are working in their constituencies or travelling away from Parliament. This issue has received particular attention after the shocking killing of Ann Widdecombe earlier this summer.
